The Reef Guardians mission is to protect the reefs and to inform, educate and create action. Working with local communities, universities, business groups and government we continue to study the rapid changes to our coral reefs and near-shore habitats.

Our "near shore ecosystem" is the most important part of planet earth for the long-term health of the human race. The Reef Guardians are committed to studying this sensitive, changing environment using the best possible science.

Our philosophy is to share all scientific data and results, and to use them to create solutions. The result will provide people with an increased ability to properly manage this coral ecosystems in the future.

Education is key to protecting our reefs. Participation in Ocean conservation begins with our children. Reef Guardians creates engaging curriculum for K-12 participation. With your help, we can ensure the Oceans health for generations to come.

Our goal is to develop Reef Guardians of all ages who are truly connected to the ocean. These are the marine crusaders who will commit themselves to the endgame of creating solutions that guard the welfare of Hawaii coral reefs and coral reefs worldwide.
